Meet the Makers

Matt and Anna are a husband and wife maker team. Matt is a computer guy who got into woodworking after inheriting most of a woodshop from his grandfather. He fell in love with the craft and has since “upgraded” many of his inheritance tools to accommodate his ever expanding set of skills. He specializes in handcrafted furniture, but will dabble in pretty much anything as long as there’s wood involved. Anna is the all-around crafter of the family. She took the Jane-of-all-trades moniker seriously, developing a love for fiber arts, jewelry making., intricate woodworking, hand thrown pottery, and design. When not in the woodshop or pottery studio, Matt and Anna can most often be found playing outside with their small children and even smaller cockadoodles on their homestead outside of Richmond, Virginia.

Hollow or Holler? Well, when you grow up in Appalachia, the former is the spelling and the latter is the pronunciation! So if you’re ever wondering why it’s sometimes spelled with an “-er,” that’s just the Appalachia comin’ out.
