Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair

Carolina Fiber Festival
Carolina FiberFest’s mission is to:
•Educate the public about fiber and its sources
•Preserve heritage arts and crafts
•Promote small farms producing fiber and fiber animals
•Support fiber artists and fiber-related businesses
•Provide a venue for the public to interact with the fiber arts world.
By demonstrating skills to the public, sharing knowledge, and through the close interaction of classes, Carolina FiberFest sows the seeds for future generations of fiber artists, crafts people and fiber producers.

We are delighted to welcome so many different makers, menders, and creatives to our In Person Market. There is something for everyone! From yarns to bags to tools and quilts, we hope to inspire you. Market hours are 9-5 on both Friday (Jan 23) and Saturday (Jan 24). Join our Market Crawl for a chance to win fun prizes and Meet Our Makers all day on Saturday with scheduled hours for meet and greets.

Montpelier Fall Fiber Festival and Sheep Dog Trials
The Fall Fiber Festival and Montpelier Sheep Dog Trials is a celebration of traditional fiber techniques and an opportunity to view working dogs at their best! Join our family-friendly event to learn all about fiber animals, shearing, spinning, weaving, and fiber arts. You can join one of our many classes, view a demonstrations, enjoy our lauded sheep dog trials, or submit your best fiber art in one of our many competitive divisions. We will have a variety of vendors selling artisan goods and food trucks to feed any appetite.
Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival
Come celebrate the many facets of fiber the last full weekend of September. The festival is filled with opportunities and events focusing on all aspects of fiber and more! Classes on many different ways to use fiber will be offered. We will also have demonstrations, competitions, festival memorabilia, fleeces for sale, and more. Our vendors offer yarns, various raw and finished fibers, the animals they come from, from buttons to spinning and weaving equipment, rugs and purses to hats and sweaters, jewelry, art, pottery, and many other lovely items!
